TAA Coach Certification Requirements

All TAA Coaches MUST be certified to coach in town. To become certified, completion of the following is REQUIRED:

Fingerprints & Background Check - This is the first thing you should do as it may take several weeks for completion.  Please click on the menu option under Coach's Corner which provides all the information needed to get this done.

Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic - This clinic is also required and provides all of our coaches with basic legal, safety and first aid information which is intended to increase our coaches knowledge and ultimately protecting the children who participate in our programs. Click on the Rutgers menu option under Coach's Corner for more details.  To register for the next local Rutgers Clinic, click on My Account above.

Positive Coaching Alliance Seminar (PCA) - The TAA periodically offers local PCA Seminars to our coaches and parents.  The PCA seminars are professionally run by PCA Clinicians who offer up real world experience and practical guidance about relevant coaching strategies when working with children.  It is strongly suggested that all coaches attend at least one of PCA Seminars.  Many of our coaches have attended multiple sessions.  To register for the next PCA seminar, click on My Account above.

Thank you for becoming a TAA Coach and volunteering your time to mentor the youth in our town.
